You can now start suggesting a poem for the May feature. There's no theme for this one - anything goes.

In the meantime, I'm thinking up ideas for a contest. I'll keep you posted.

Hello and Welcome to RosesAreFF0000!!!

This group has 5 main goals:

1. Featuring excellent code poems
2. Allowing code poets to communicate and be represented
3. Teaching others how it's done.
4. Member collaborations and contests.
5. Fun!!!

if you're interested in joining, send a note to ~CakeProphet and he'll add you to the list. Thanks for the interest, and spread the word!

How to suggest a work for the Monthly Feature

The easiest way to make a suggestion would be to send a note to ~CakeProphet or to leave the suggestion as a comment on the project's page.

In order to be featured, the work must be a poem or, in some cases, a work of prose that features computer code or pseudocode as a stylistic feature.

Note that it's perfectly okay to suggest your own work. There's not a large amount of cyber poetry on dA to feature in the first place, so breathing some new life into the genre will be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes the monthly feature will be themed, so check the latest journal entry before you suggest a poem.

We now have an avatar

Thanks to ~CQuake for the excellent avatar. A fractal is the perfect visual representation for RosesAreFF0000. See the original here: [link]

We need a fancy icon! Anything will do, but bonus points for something clever.

~~APRIL FEATURE~~

To kick off the start of RosesAreFF0000, I believe the first feature should be in honor of a poem that not only provided the inspiration for the project's name, but brilliantly sums up the essence of the style.
